Landslide Remediation

Project Type: Emergency Works
Location: Galston Road
Scope of works:

G.P.P. was called in to respond to a critical landslide incident that had blocked a arterial road, posing significant risks to public safety and disrupting traffic flow. The landslide had deposited a large amount of debris, including soil, rocks, and vegetation, completely covering the road and making it impassable.

Our team was tasked with the urgent excavation and removal of the landslide debris to clear the road and restore access. We mobilized quickly, deploying a fleet of heavy machinery, including excavators and loaders, to the site. The work required careful planning and execution to ensure the safe removal of unstable materials and to prevent further landslide risks during the clearing process.

The excavation involved removing large volumes of earth and rocks, which were then safely transported away from the site. G.P.P. worked around the clock, ensuring that the road was cleared as swiftly as possible to minimise disruption to the community. Our team coordinated closely with local authorities to manage traffic and ensure the safety of all personnel and the public during the operation.
